A large field of runners gathered for the first of three combined races with the Stawell and Ararat Cross Country Club at Three Jacks Track in the Ironbark State Forest with 31 SAAC runners joining SACCC. The two clubs enjoy coming together to run and Ararat locals were happy to leave the drizzle of rain

The Chris Blake 3km Championship event’s final race of the season was run in perfect conditions Saturday 10th September in the Ironbarks. On Saturday 30th July SAAC gathered near the Stawell Rail Trail for the Baker family Handicap. There was a good turnout for the sub-juniors and some strong performances. Tanner Freeland was fastest followed by Will Freeland and then Jerome Baker. On adjusted handicaps Alfie Freeland won, Nash Santuccione placed second and Will Freeland claimed third
