About

At the Stawell Amateur Athletic Club, we come in all ages, sizes and running abilities.

The Club was formed in 1966 and has a current membership of about 50 active members, with a permanent clubroom at North Park, Stawell.

The Club’s 2019 cross country running season starts from Late March and follows with another 20 races over a variety of distances (3km to 16km, but no more than 2km for Sub-Juniors) through to September.

Our races start from the clubroom at 10.00am with signing in (entry) from 9.30am.

The majority of our cross country events are held in and around Stawell through the picturesque Ironbark Forest, as well as at Halls Gap, and at Horsham.

There are two levels of competition for Seniors and Sub-Juniors (under 13) with Juniors (over 13) now able to run with the Seniors (but pay a junior fee) to improve competition for them.

Members compete for weekly trophies and prizes and accumulate points towards a yearly Aggregate and Championship trophies for both handicap and scratch events.

All races are handicapped which enables runners of all ages and ability to experience the thrill of winning.

Non-club members are most welcome to participate in races as fun runners.

Once you try us ($5 for Seniors; Gold Coin for Juniors and Subs) we hope you will become a member and be eligible for awards, trophies, and prizes.
