Fourteen runners completed the roller coaster of hills in the challenging 5km course in the Ironbark Forest. This was the first staggered handicap start for the season. On a true Autumn day, the SAAC cross country runners met at the Bonnie Dundee track for the Stephen Baird Handicap, with the infamous uphill finish. Winning the Stawell Toyota 8km handicap, was the icing on the cake for 18-year-old Monaghan. A clear victory with a 90-second lead over second place getter Simon Edge and two minutes clear of third placer, Drew Christian. Elise has put a lot of time into her running recently and ran a sub 6 minutes in
