Stawell Amateur Athletic Club held the Time Keeper’s Sealed Handicap on Saturday with a good field of 26 Seniors and 12 Juniors lining up for the challenging 5 km Ironbarks bushland course.
After handicaps were applied it was John Collins who won by 5 seconds from Gaynor Radovic, with Peter Hilbig coming in third.
Colin Barnett looks to have a mortgage on the Club Championship after a good win from Gary Rice, with Rupanyup flyer Adrian Tyler in third. Jacinta Collier won the Open Female event in a time of 21 min 21 sec. Susie Ellis won the Veteran Female in a time of 21 min 52 sec.
The winner of the Junior race on handicap was Greta, who won convincingly by 50 sec from Marcus, with Lucy coming in third.
Marcus took out lines honours to win the Junior 5 km Championship in a time 21 min 8 sec. Junior Girl 5 km Champion was Lucy in a time of 22 min 22 sec
Thirteen Sub-Juniors lined up for the 1.5 km race. After handicaps were applied Grace came out the winner from Sophie by 3 seconds, with Liam in third place.
Line honours went to Sophie, sprinting to the line just ahead of Nathan, after having a great battle throughout the race. Her time was 6 min 28 sec.
